Dr. Dena Granger-Turner has a passion for health care that leads her to break glass ceilings as fast as she can find them. She always wanted to be a doctor so she could help others. While pursuing her undergrad at Alabama A&M University
, she discovered her calling when shadowing a chiropractor in Memphis.
Dr. Turner graduated with her bachelor’s degree in 2011, then studied chiropractic care at
Life University. She came to Memphis to spend three years working for the same chiropractor she had shadowed under in college, since she was inspired by his approach to corrective and wellness care.

In 2019, while attending Mississippi Valley State University, I was introduced to chiropractic care through a recruiter from Life University. They emphasized the growing need for non-traditional healthcare providers and the serious challenges created by the overuse of pain medications in our society. Recognizing the life-changing benefits of chiropractic care, I became passionate about pursuing a career that not only focuses on pain management but also promotes overall health and wellness.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi Valley State University (2016–2020) and continued my education at Logan University, graduating in December 2023.
My passion for chiropractic care is deeply rooted in the honor of serving as a Black female doctor. It is a privilege to educate, treat, and guide my practice members along their wellness journey. Building meaningful relationships, witnessing their progress, and giving back to the community affirms that I am walking in my true purpose.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, and embracing new experiences that enrich my life and inspire my practice.
Meet Dr. Jayda Williams, D.C.
For Dr. Jayda Williams, it was always about health care. She originally planned to become an OB-GYN because she wanted to help pregnant women and babies, but she thought chiropractic care was only for back pain and car accidents. She discovered how far-reaching chiropractic care is while attending a leadership conference at Life University—and that’s when everything changed.
Dr. Jayda was inspired by the vision of using natural health care to improve patients’ overall wellness. After graduating from Alabama State University in 2016, she studied chiropractic care at Life University, finishing her degree in 2021.
She is a member of the American Black Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, where she is currently working toward complete certification.
For Dr. E, chiropractic kind of fell into her lap. While playing basketball in undergrad, one of the games was against her future chiropractic school, Life University. An old classmate was at the game, who was currently a student at Life. After he spent some time talking with Dr. E’s father on the sidelines, her father applied to Life University on her behalf.
She was accepted, but since she was initially interested in physical therapy, she needed to learn more about chiropractic. Dr. E visited some chiropractors and was amazed to see that chiropractic was like a more active type of physical therapy. And then she went to school, and fell in love with it.
